Rammohan informed that every Wednesday there will be interaction with the officials and concerned Corporators with regard to drinking water schemes at their respective reservoirs in their circle jurisdiction.
The Mayor held a review meeting with GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, all the Corporators and senior officials of Malkajgiri and Alwal Circles of GHMC and HMWS&SB department in his chambers today.
The Mayor said drinking water schemes were taken up in 39 wards in Malkajgiri with the World Bank funds. He instructed all the Corporators to pay personal attention and see the works are taken up on priority basis.
He said elaborate arrangements have to be made to improve drinking water supply in all the wards duly coordinating with the officials. He also instructed that boring water should be arranged wherever possible. The engineers have been instructed to speed up all the civic works which are already in process.
Rammohan said there would be lot of problems with drinking water in the month of April. He also stressed on creating awareness among people about the importance of preserving water.
