About Erragadda
Erragadda is a developing commercial and residential area in the west zone of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is home to the ECE Industries, an electrical enterprise. Popular landmarks are the FCI Gowdown, Rythu Bazar, Gokul theater and St. Theresa’s Hospital which was constructed in the 1980s or 1970s respectively.
Known For
Well it is not a joke.. seriously most of the people remember the Institute of Mental Health also known as “Pagal Dawakhana” when they hear Erragadda. Now a days it has become on of the most popular commercial business area with automobile showrooms like Hyundai, Maruthi Suzuki and bikes showrooms from Royal Enfield to Honda, Suzuki, Hero, Yamaha etc. Punjab National Bank is one of the popular banks in this locality.
When we think of functions it has some of the oldest function halls like Limra Function Hall, Victoria Gardens Function Hall and recently started Majestic Function hall among few others. As it is on the National Highway the it has become one of the costliest place for residential suburb with the existence of Czech Colony which has a high class Residential Apartments.
Education
St. Theresa’s Girls High School is one of the popular schools in this area. Shantiniketan Girls Junior & Degree College is here. Gokul Junior College, Babul Reddy Junior College and few other schools and colleges are also presentin this suburb.

St. Theresa Hospital is one of the oldest hospital in this locality. Institute of Mental Health also known as Erragadda Mental Hospital is also located in this area. Neelima hospital, Al-Noor Maternity Hospital, Leela Hospital are also located here.

Erragadda is not just famous for Mental Hospital but also for its Sunday Bazaar also popularly known as Itwaar Bazaar. The Sunday Market at Sanathnagar-Erragadda stretch is one of the busiest bazaar of hyderabad, selling all kinds of both new and second hand items from clothes to footwear, home appliances, computer accessories, home decorative items and many other miscellaneous items are available here. People from various parts of the city come here for the sunday shopping.
