A 25-year old software professional was reportedly stabbed to death near Secunderabad in the early hours of Thursday. A report in The New Indian Express states that the techie was identified as Sanjay Junge, an employee of Sutherland Global Services in Hitec city.
It was reported that the murder took place around 4.30 a.m when Sanjay, who was walking by the Swapnalok complex in Secunderabad, was on his way home. He is said to have been attacked by a group of unidentified persons.
Thirpathaiah, assistant commissioner of police, Mahankali division, has told the daily that four members came in a white Maruti Swift, stopped the car opposite the outgate of Swapnalok complex and stabbed him to death.
Police are now verifying what happened with eyewitnesses and looking for CCTV footage for details of the vehicle and the accused. The police patrol team is stated to have arrived soon after the murder but they could not chase down the accused.
Thirpathaiah has stated that the motive for the murder is still not known. Sanjay Junge lived in Parsigutta in Secunderabad with his parents. A case of murder against unknown persons has been registered at the Mahankali police station and the body has been shifted to the Gandhi hospital mortuary for the postmortem.
