Surrounding the bazaar is the Naya Pul of the Old city. ‘Naya pul’ which directly translates to “New Bridge ” was built during the Nizam rule. It was named so as there was already another bridge named “PuranaPul” (Old Bridge) in the city. Naya pul is lined by numerous fruit vendors on the sides. It overlooks the banks of the beautiful musi river. It also has the famous Salar Jung museum nearby and has one of the best sunset views.

It is the best place to visit to buy and sell commodities and crack some of the best deals on a daily basis. The Begum Bazaar is near to the Osmania General Hospital and the famous Mozamjahi Market. The old and popular market was constructed in 1935 by the Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan and was named after his son Mozzam Jhah. It has the Famous Ice Cream Parlour which is one of the most popular Ice Cream places in Hyderabad and is usually crowded. It also has the Jambagh Flower Market until the 1980s. Begum Bazaar is said to be the biggest commercial market of tobacco in South India and the largest dealer of plastic bags since 1980. Just like the Old City, the Cars Buses, etc are prohibited to enter the Begum Bazaar due to its crowd and narrow lanes. The hostels around the area are developing and the aroma from the street food takes charge over the lanes making you taste at least some of the food options offered from nearby hotels

The land of Begum Bazaar is said to be gifted to Humda Begum, the wife of Nizam Ali Khan, Asaf Jah for trade and commerce. It has buses that connect Begum Bazaar to every part of Hyderabad.
