I’m sure most of us are well aware of the modern-day rapidly spreading disease (COVID -19) which is caused by the novel coronavirus and the updates on its rapid spread across our own country.
The Health Minister of India confirmed 28 cases of coronavirus across the country on Wednesday, of which maximum cases were reported from the people who travelled to India last week from Italy. Rest of the cases were reported from the people who travelled from countries like Iran and Dubai.
Leaving its mark in every country, the deadly virus which is estimated to have killed at least 3000 people worldwide, has left approximately 92,000 people infected. The virus is said to be originated from China, the most populous country in the world. Therefore is supposed to have the maximum number of cases.
It was all fine and a matter of arrogance to many Indians until last week. The second most populated country with almost 1.3 Billion people confirmed the first cases of coronavirus in Delhi and Hyderabad. Hyderabad confirmed its first case of coronavirus through a techie who travelled from Dubai and then reached Hyderabad by a bus from Bengaluru.
Almost 80 people from Hyderabad are kept isolation and observation at Gandhi Hospital for interacting with the techie. To the surprise of doctors, out of 80 suspects, at least 36 have been showing active symptoms of Covid-19 (Coronavirus). The suspects and the infected techie are kept in isolation at Gandhi and Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad.
The techie is supposed to be an employee at Raheja Mindspace and conducted few meetings on the day of his return. The building has been emptied and sanitation workers have been employed to thoroughly sanitize the working area. According to the officials, people can return to their work from Thursday. Several IT companies at HITEC city suspended their operations for a while due to safety and panic.
The Telangana government released an official statement on Wednesday, asking the IT companies and it’s workers to refrain from the abandonment of work because of a single case of coronavirus. The government also advised the people of Telangana to not panic as the techie is under kept clinical isolation and to take necessary precautions rather than spreading fake rumours or panicking.
The IT sector of Telangana employs more than 4 lakh people and the Principal Secretary, Jayesh Ranjan asked the companies to ask prior permission before taking any step regarding the temporary suspension of work due to the virus.

• Stay Hygienic
• Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough, use a mask if necessary, Keep your cold and cough at check.
• Avoid close contact with anyone who has flu or fever.
• Avoid unprotected contact with animals or live farm animals.
