Discover 82nd Hyderabad Exhibition Numaish (Hyderabad – Nampally).
If you’re a Hyderabadi, you might have already started recollecting memories when you hear or read the word ‘Numaish’. Who doesn’t know about it? Living in Hyderabad and never heard of Numaish, toh karre kya miyaaa tum Zindagi main !?
Being known for its famous historical Nizam’s life, delicious biryani, and forts, tourism, Hyderabad is also one of the largest metropolitan cities in the world. It would be unfair to the city if we do not mention its famous annual exhibition that is the “All India Industrial Exhibition”. It will be its 82nd year in 2023. This annual event is also known as the Nampally exhibition or Numaish.
It was started in 1938 during the reign of Mir Osman Ali Khan the last Nizam of Hyderabad by a group of graduates. The Annual Hyderabad Exhibition which is held every year with grandeur and great splendour is the largest in the world.
Also popularly known as Numaish, it consists of thousands of stalls spread across 23 acres for 46 days inviting merchants and dealers from all over the world. An average of 1 lakh visitors visiting the Numaish per day is its official kind of event. It started off with 100 stalls and now extends to thousands of stalls ranging from food, clothes, jewellery, carpets, showrooms, brassware, ceramics, entertainment, and games to some amazing rides.
Free Wi-Fi is offered for 45 minutes to everyone to make things easier. The dealers from all around the world including Kashmir, Afghanistan, Turkey, Bengal, and North India set their stalls at Numaish and their products/clothing are not only a shopping retreat but also a visual treat for the visitors.
Hyderabad presents you with a great example of Unity In Diversity with the wide-ranged stalls, joyrides and exhibits thronged all around the area which will make sure to leave you awestruck. The Numaish is organised keeping in mind the safety of the visitors, therefore there are hundreds of security guards, and frame metal detectors installed at all the 3 entry gates.
It has three different gates for entry. Such as:
- Gandhi Bhavan Gate
- Ajanta Gate
- Goshamahal Gate
Ajanta Gate is the biggest and the main gate for entry.
The opening is expected to be on 1st January 2023 at 05:00 PM. The very first Tuesday of the exhibition is specified for ladies’ and children’s entry. Almost all the edible stalls have been auctioned and are very well in place. Even their main aim is to serve eateries and cater to the general public with all the delicacies of South India and Hyderabadi cuisine from day one.

Chief Guest:
At the request of our President Exhibition Society, the chief guest for the Hyderabad exhibition would be the CM of Telangana state Sri. K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
Stalls:
About 2400 stalls are allotted this year. It features stalls like dry fruits Of Jammu and Kashmir and handmade garments from Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. Handmade products and electronics of the best from all over the country. The vibes from Numaish will feed your Hyderabadi soul and fill your heart with nostalgia.
Fundamental Duties:
The amount collected in the form of entry fees and parking charges is further utilised in running 19 educational institutes. The current new institute has been built in Siddipet in Hyderabad. This institute is basically for those who are willing to study Pharmacy and Law.
Precautions:
Keeping in view past experiences, many safety measures have been implemented this time by the committee to curb any kind of incident in the future.
Having said that, Ashwin Murgan the vice president of the “All India Industrial Exhibition” also mentioned that the exhibition is kept in an underground system which has got about two tanks. Each tank consists of 1.5 Lakh litres each and about 85 hydrants spread all over the ground with a distance of around 100 metres to cover each part of the exhibition if there is any hazard.
Also, we have a police outpost and a women’s safety wing. Several policemen are deployed at an alternate distance with dozens of surveillance cameras throughout the area.
A medical check-up facility is provided by Yashoda Hospital at a nominal fee.
Two ambulances facilities are provided 24×7 in concert with the hospitals like Yashoda and St. John’s.
Moreover this time they have paved all the walkways, the eatery place and the entertainment area with tiles. So, you can experience almost 98% of the area being tessellated. This is going to be a dust and pollution-free environment on the grounds.

- Adult: ₹ 40/- (Including GST)
- Child: No Entry Fee (below 5 yrs)
- Senior Citizens: No Entry Fee
- Differently-abled Persons: No Entry Fee

Transportation:
People who are visiting the city from the outskirts can reach the Hyderabad Exhibition on two-wheelers, and four-wheelers and by using the railway. In order to avoid traffic and save time you can use Metro trains. Basically, there are three interchange Metro stations across the city.
- Miyapur to L B Nagar via MG Bus station, Nampally and Ameerpet.
- JBS Parade Ground to MG Bus Station via Secunderabad.
- Nagole to Raidurg via Secunderabad and Ameerpet.
Passengers can travel by purchasing tokens at the station with the starting price of Rs.10/- to the required destination limit or by purchasing a Smart Card to experience a hassle-free journey. A Smart card can be purchased from a ticketing office at the Metro Station.
You can recharge your Smart Card with a minimum amount of Rs.100/- to the maximum amount of Rs.3000/-.Rs,50/- of any recharge amount is towards a One-time security deposit which is not refundable.
Hotels and Lodges:
There are so many Hotels and Lodges located near Nampally Exhibition at very low prices. Guests will feel at home in the city for sure.
Parking Area:
Parking is a difficult task at the Numaish, with thousands of people leaving and entering the exhibition grounds it becomes almost impossible to find a suitable parking space. Therefore there are far away parking spaces allotted and the parking fee is as such follows
- Four Wheeler: ₹ 60/-
- Two Wheeler: ₹ 30/-
The Parking facility is also available on the premises of Government Junior College, Nampally.
- In addition to that, Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd has agreed to run some extra Metro trains for the convenience of visitors up to 11.30 pm.
- Start date: 1st January 2023.
Previously the closing date was set as 15th February 2020 but now the Numaish has been extended for 3 more days this year.
- The new last date for Numaish is not yet disclosed. Usually, it gets closed by the early days of the third week of February.
Numaish is open on all days of the week from Monday to Sunday.
