Kerala Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, Merit-cum Means Scholarship 2021-22

Pre matric, post matric and Merit-cum means scholarship offered by Kerala to the students belonging to SC, OBC and other eligible communities from Kerala State.

Financial assistance will be provided to pursue degree /post graduate level technical and professional courses from any Govt. recognized institution.

Maintenance allowance will be credited directly to the student’s bank account. The course fee will be paid by the State Department directly to the concerned institute.

Last date of submission of online applications for Pre-Matric, Post-Matric and Merit-cum-means scholarship scheme is not released.

  • Pre-Matric Scheme (PMS): The pre matric scheme is applicable only for the students studying in 1st- 10th class.
  • Post-Matric Scheme (PMS): This scheme is applicable only for the students studying in 11th, 12th and above.
  • Merit-cum-means Scheme (MCM): The MCM scheme is applicable for students doing Technical/Professional courses at UG and PG level.

– Eligibility Criteria for Kerala Scholarship  MCM 2021-22:

Applicants who get admission to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive exam will be eligible to apply.
Applicants who get admission in technical/professional courses without writing any competitive exam will also be eligible for MCM scholarship.
Applicants must obtain at least 50% in the last examination.
Selection will be done on the basis of merit.
Scholarship renewal of the following year will completely depend on satisfactory completion of the course during the academic year.
Student should not hold any other scholarship award for pursuing the same course.
The parents or guardian annual income of beneficiary should not be more than 2.50 lakh rupees from all sources.
30% scholarship will be earmarked for female students.

Pre Matric and Post Matric Eligibility:

Candidates should have secured a minimum 50 marks in aggregate for the final examination for the year 2021-22.
Students must belong to the minorities’ community.
Applicants must obtain at least 50% in the last examination.
The parents or guardian annual income of beneficiary should not be more than 2 lakh rupees from all sources.
Student should not hold any other scholarship award for pursuing the same course.
Scholarship will not be awarded more than 2 students in a same family.
Only those who are awarded fresh scholarship in 2021-22 are eligible for renewal.
